Summer Analyst Interview - Generalist
Summer Intern Interview - Debt Capital Markets
After a few weeks I heard back about an online interview with 1 analyst and 1 associate. This interview was a mix of behavioral, markets and technicals. Basic behavioral, things like walk through each asset class, rank cap rates, how would you invest 100mm.
1 or 2 days later I heard about the 2nd round which was another interview with 1 analyst and 1 associate. Similar structure and questions to the first round.
A few days after that I received the Superday. This was 3 interviews with MD's and VP's back to back. Almost all behavioral.
Know what is going on in the markets and how it applies to each asset class. Know it 2 or 3 levels deeper than you think you need to know it.
They asked a bit about real estate debt. If you increase leverage what happens to returns, what would the IR be on this, debt yield, dscr, etc.
They also asked. What is a question that you wished we asked you about.
Also asked about a current event in CRE markets and what sources you use to find information.
