Valuation Advisory Summer Analyst

The interview consisted of a first round phone interview and a superday. The first round interview was mostly technical and lasted for 30 minutes. I was asked the standard why firm, why industry behaviorals in addition to a teamwork story. As for the technicals, it was very valuation and DCF heavy with only 1 accounting question on the 3 statements. The superday was a 3 hour zoom call with 6 different 30 minute rooms. I was asked to do a financial model and a strategic M&A case study before hand and submit it before the superday. Only one room was technical and asked mainly about the model and the assumptions I've used and FSA. The other rooms were really fun as I asked the questions to the MD/VP/Associate/Analysts (there was a fair mix - 2 per room). They wanted to see if I was someone they wanted to work with. Overall, very thorough and enjoyable interview process.
