The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
The interview process is as follows:
-30 minute HR screen
-2-3 30-minute informational interviews w/ Analysts
-60 minute technical assessment
-45 minute behavioral/technical interview w/ 2 senior bankers
-Superday (2 45-minute interviews w/ 4 senior bankers)

The process is very tedious. Be aware that there is significant disconnect between the bankers and HR. They have no idea where you are in the process so make sure to network and advocate for yourself to advance. The culture is very unique and seems to differ between offices. In my opinion the culture at this bank is not for everyone.

Interview
I initially applied online while trying to network with people through LinkedIn. You are assigned an HR person who also screens you over the phone before moving on to the 1st round interview process. The 1st round interview consists of a 2-on-1 with a senior and junior level employee. The senior employee usually asks more behavioral questions while the junior analyst asks more standard technicals (400 IB, etc.). After the 1st round interview, you are given a technical assessment which you then have an hour to complete upon receiving it. Assuming you don't bomb the technical assessment, you move on to the 2nd round. Very similar to the 1st round, senior and junior analyst and about a 50/50 split on behavioral and technical. From here, I waited for a decision for about a month or so, which was longer than anticipated. On average you would probably wait about 1-2 weeks.
Interview Questions
In terms of difficult or unexpected questions, there wasn't anything that was surprising. Most of the technical questions were based off of 400 IB, and if it wasn't, the questions were pretty simple. The only unexpected question was pertaining to the possible cause of a company failure less the normal financial burdens, and the answer had to do with them having legal problems.

Interview
After submitting an application, you are scheduled to have a phone call with a recruiter. From here, they will take to you for about 15-20 minutes and pass you into the interview processes if they see fit. 1st round interview will either be a 1-on-1 or a 2-on-1 interview with a senior and/or junior banker. Normal behaviorals will be asked (walk me through your resume, why Stout, why banking, etc.), and then they will go into a "technical portion" where they essentially list off normal 400 IB questions. They might throw in some questions that go one step above the cookie cutter technicals but nothing hard. 2nd round is essentially the same thing, but mine was more technical than the first, not sure if that's how it is for everybody. They essentially asked questions off of the list again, and they seemed like they wanted to get through them relatively fast so they could actually have a normal interview conversation. Everybody I talked to was nice, and they seemed like genuine people.

The interview process was pretty standard. First, an HR recruiter will talk to you about your interests and resume. Then, a person in the office you're interested in joining will reach out to you to talk to you. After that, you'll have a day where it's three 30 minute interviews, and this is the final round. It's extremely relaxed and low-stress, just a very informal conversation. These interviews are mainly just behavioral and want to get a sense of your interests to see if you'd be a good fit at the firm.

It was a very basic behavioral interview. Then out of nowhere advanced technical questions. I would learn the whole M&A process. Then there was a really hard test that takes like an hour. You can't really prep for it that much.

First round interview was a zoom with one senior banker and one junior. Neither were from the location applied for. Total length was 45 minutes, first 30 were behavioral and then last 15 minutes technical. All technical out of the guides nothing difficult.
