Interview
Fairly quick process. Applied online and had an employee refer me. Started with an initial phone screen with HR. General Growth Equity questions like where do you get your news, what sectors interest you, etc. Second round was more in depth with an analyst who asked more specific questions about the industry I pitched and asked for a company in it. Pitched the company and he asked me to go into how I evaluated a company and a company of that type. Seemed to go really well and the analyst said I would most likely get a super day. Reached out to follow up and was told to wait a week. Replied to that a week later to no reply...still haven't heard back yet, but assuming they have filled their class.
Interview Questions
Nothing difficult on unexpected. They really were interested in important metrics I knew about my company or what metrics I would look for given my knowledge of the industry. I guess you could say it was unexpected that the second round really focused on my interests and personality and the company analysis followed that. We really dug into the company so know your metrics and a lot about the company. Be able to estimate revenue based on whatever factors you believe are important. For me I used social media presence as it was a marketplace startup.

Interview
I had to submit my resume on my career services website and they came to campus a few weeks later to interview candidates.
Interview Questions
What companies should Stripes invest in, what companies are you interested in, why are you interested in technology, what kind of tech trends interest you, why growth equity, why Stripes, DCF questions, standard behavioral questions about past experiences, case questions about helping portfolio companies expand. The case is just to test how you think and you should not get too nervous about this part. I would just practice some cases beforehand and do not get too nervous because they are easier in person.

Interview
They emailed me pretty early and asked for a phone interview and we set one up about two weeks in advance.
Interview Questions
Let's see they asked me to walk me through my resume and all that jazz. Then they started to ask why growth equity and some of the portfolio investments that I liked of theirs. Also they asked me what I did for fun and where I got my technology news from like tech crunch and that. They did not ask technical questions over the phone because the first round phone interview is just a phone screen with the recruiter and not an investment analyst or associate. It was awhile ago but it was all fit questions.

Phone Interview
Interview
Had two phone interviews - one with the firms head of recruiting and then one with a Senior Associate. I did not make it past the second phone interview
Interview Questions
The interview questions were pretty standard: they had me walk through my background and discuss why I wanted to make the career change to growth equity. The most difficult portion of the interview with the Senior Associate was when he asked me to walk through an industry I like and describe a couple of companies I would invest in in that industry.
