Interview
The interview process was smooth and very personal. I first when into the main office in Stamford and interviewed with one of the heads of the company. The following week, I went back and interviewed with the campus recruiter. Just basic fit questions. After that, I had a phone interview, then was offered the position shortly after. They asked why I was interested, why I would be a good fit, my accomplishments, and leadership roles I have held in the past.
Interview Questions
Why do you think you would be a good fit for this company? - I responded to this question by talking about how much I liked the company culture and the program they were offering. I went in detail into what I knew about the company and the things that I liked about it. After that, I talked about the position itself and my relevant skills. I talked about previous job experiences and class projects where I used my creative abilities to succeed.
What have you done in the past that showed your leadership skills?

I had a very good experience with the interviewing process. The woman who interviewed me had a very high position in the company, so it was nice to see that they really valued their internship position. The 45 minute interview consisted of a bunch of behavioral questions and some basic finance-related questions. Overall, I had a good experience interviewing and learning more about the company, but it just turned out to be something that I was not incredibly interested in.
Interview Questions
Tell me about a time you worked in a group.

-Discussed a few times in my collegial extracurricular activities that I was involved on a team and came across a conflict, and then went on to share how we overcame that conflict.
Why finance? Why this specific department in finance? Why Synchrony Financial?

"I enjoy working with numbers and using numbers to figure out problems"

Interview
I applied for on-campus recruiting. I was interested in the program because I heard great things about GE's equivalent program. I received an offer for an interview and the interview process on-campus was with 1 person for 45 minutes. The interview is ALL behavioral. The interviewer reads off a list of questions on a notepad (about 12-15 total) that ask about times when you were a leader and succeeded, failed, how you stay organized, etc.

This interview was the most comprehensive behavioral interview I have ever had, and that's saying a lot. To give you an idea, I ran out of stories to tell the interviewer about 25 minutes in, and I had about 6 behavioral answers prepared. In the middle of the interview, I began questioning what I was exactly applying for and from there on, my enthusiasm to finish the interview waned. I bet the interviewer was able to tell.
Interview Questions
Tell me about yourself.
Tell me a time you succeeded as a leader.
Tell me a time you failed as a leader.
Tell me a time you had a conflict you resolved.
Tell me a time you had a conflict you didn't resolve. What happened?
Tell me a time you had to be organized.
Tell me a time you worked with a difficult member on a team.
Are you a leader or a follower?
Tell me a time you took a risk.

Interview
The interview was 20 minutes long, and it consisted mostly of talking about my previous experiences and describing any prior experience I had with handling data.
Interview Questions
No questions were really that tough, it was a standard first round interview, asking me to elaborate on who I am and my pat experiences. There was a question that specifically asked "what are your past experiences?". Apparently you are supposed to tell a story with these types of questions, follow the progression of your career goals as they are expected to change throughout your undergraduate career, I didn't do that, I simply listed what I had previously been involved with. There was a specific experience, however, that the interviewer asked me about because it was the only finance position I had in my otherwise engineering heavy resume. I had dealt with money in that position but not much, so my response was more focused on the leadership aspect of the position rather than the financial duties (which, again, were very minimal to begin with)
