Interview
Applied online and they got back approximatey 3 hours later.

Man named Andrew Haber gave me a time to come into their office for a 1-1 interview.

When I arrived, I sat at their front office for about 30 minites because there was no secretary. Finally I was brought back by a man named Hargobind.

We went to a nice office and he brought up market data going on and charts of the software they used.

He didn’t really look at my resume, besides saying that my education would suffice for market analysis.

He then asked me questions about market analysis (whats my thesis and how does it work for you- examples), chart overview and analysis (based on your risk exposure... where would you pyt your stop loss for this stock and why?), and then some specific questiond about current market data.

After showing competence in analysis, they skipped their formal testing. Interview lasted all of 10-15 minutes. He then took me to their floor and let me sit on a computer to demo. After 20 minutes of doing so I left.

Floor manager seems very knowledgeable. He is young and holds a class throughout the trading session to answer questions and to teach you about what is happening in different sectors of the market. He used examples that most of the other young traders could relate to, which makes learning easier.

Culture seems very laid back. No suits or management hanging over your back. If they see you doing something questionable, they'll call you to their office, which occurred during my interview.

I would suggest reviewing market data before going in. Know which sectors are outperforming the market and maybe why they are. Make sure you know who you are as a trader!
Interview Questions
There were really no hard questions at all.

The hardest question that I can remember:

1) What was something you traded and show me why you decided to enter/exit (They would pull the trade up on their chart and bring up the timeframe you gave them)?

2) Which industry is outperforming the market and, specifically, which stock is leading/near the top of that sector in Qx growth?

3) Follow along with my chart analysis of the SPY... let me know if you think any of my analysis or overview is wrong.

Interview
I found out about the position on my university's job portal and applied online. I soon received an email from an HR to schedule a phone interview with the supervisor.
Interview Questions
The phone interview went on for almost thirty minutes. I was, however, only asked two to three questions. The interviewer, the trading supervisor, asked me whether I had prior experience in trading, whether I interviewed with other trading firms and what do I know about trading. The recruiter, to my surprise, did not ask any question about my experience or anything about my resume. After providing the answers to questions aforementioned, the recruiter briefed me on how the firm provides trading opportunities and educates its traders.

Interview
The interview was a good experience, they tested your analytical and creative thought with different brain teasers as well as a personality gauge test.
Interview Questions
There was different brain teaser questions that I had difficulty answering , however the only I truly remember was this: You have 3 switches which each go to a light inside a building. You cannot see inside the building and can play with the switches all you want as well as put them in any order you'd like, but you need to be able to decipher which switch goes to which light. How do you go about deciding? You need to consider ideas outside of just math and be creative. There are also variables that aren't defined.

Interview
Interview questions are difficult and abstract. Some brainteasers, but mainly check your awareness of the markets ability to think on your feet. There are tests as well. to prepare I would make sure you have a solid understanding of Supply and Demand economics and how financial markets move. Also, it is important to know the properties of equities, beta, alpha, etc. and to be able to talk about each property of a specific stock and why it matters. Do not try to bs any of the questions, especially technical ones. You will quickly get dinged for that. The tests are difficult, but stress will ake the questions harder so be sure you are ready.
Interview Questions
What are your 3 biggest weaknesses?

Prioritizing, Taking on too many tasks, and devoting enough time to each task.

First, I have trouble prioritizing. Sometimes, I spend more time than necessary on a task, or take on tasks personally that could easily be delegated to someone else. Although I've never missed a deadline, it is still an effort for me to know when to move on to the next task, and to be confident when assigning others work. I recently implemented a much better time management system, in which I keep all of my tasks on a spreadsheet. I color code the entries based on urgency and delegate a certain amount of time to each task. This allows me to prioritize my tasks better, as well as complete the many tasks I take on, while spending the right of time on each one.
