I networked extensively and was able to secure a referral from a senior banker, which led to a first-round interview. The interview was a 30-minute Zoom call that was heavily technical, focusing on valuation methodologies, questions related to the three financial statements, and a few behavioral components—mainly around my motivation for pursuing investment banking. The last 10 minutes were more conversational. I heard back about the next steps approximately two weeks later.
