Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Two weeks after submitting the online application, I was invited to complete a first-round one-way video interview. Figuring the questions can be only motivational/competency-based at this stage, I did detailed research about the firm. The interview consisted of 5 motivational questions, with a 1-minute time limit to each of them. There was also a 30-second to 1-minute thinking period before each question, depending on its difficulty. Overall, the questions were plain vanilla (how did you choose your degree/major, why the industry, why the company, why you), but the format of being recorded while trying to maintain eye contact with the camera made it rather awkward.
