Just know the basics of what Private Equity is - the company offers software and information solutions to investors. They are looking for people with a basic understanding of the industry, what they do, and people to input a lot of data into excel and you get "exposure to the world of alternative assets". If you are somewhat decent in Excel and know the basics of the industry, you should be able to get an offer.
