Interview
Interview process starts with an online assessment OA. Question was a leetcode medium equivalent followed by a leetcode hard equivalent. First question was checking simple knowledge of data structures and sweep line algorithms. Second question was ''Given a binary array, sort it so that all 0s come before all 1s." Essentially a test of inplace sorting and two pointer techniques. Second round was an online one-on-one interview which consisted of a leetcode style coding problem leetcode hard equivalent then some probability based questions. Entire process took about 3 weeks, which I think was expedited due to how close to the start of the summer I applied.
Interview Questions
Question: "Given arrays (start & end) of the times users join and leave a server, find the max number of concurrent users on the server". No questions caught me off guard necessarily. I didn't really know what to expect since this was a freshman internship which top trading firms often do not offer. I think TwoSigma takes 10 people in the entire world for this role so I expected it to be difficult. Most of the stuff you find online about leetcode hards and probability knowledge being tested is correct.

Interview
Had two interviews, one with a recruiter. Nothing special about it.
After a while I got another round scheduled that was supposed to be a conversation with a researcher there, just about my background and about the role. During the interview I was asked a very open ended question about how I would make money using social media data. Did not get any feedback.
Interview Questions
