Phone Interview
1 on 1 Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
At first, I had a phone interview with Human Resources. After it, I got an interview with them at Madrid. The interview was a very classical one with questions like "why did you choose your university?", "walk me through your resume", "why sales and trading?", "what do you now about UBS?", etc. From the beginning to the end, the interviewers were very nice and in a positive mood.

After that, they told me that I would be going to the next round, the final one. In this one, I had two separate 1 on 1 interviews with two people from Fixed Income. The structure of both interviews was the same: both of them told me at first how the internship was going to be like and what would it consist off, and then they would start to throw me questions. All of them where related to my previous experience (such as when I worked in a Corporate Equity Derivatives desk in another bank) and my background. I was expecting to have technical questions but I had almost none. The hardest questions was "Why me?" which looked like he was trying to test my reaction to pressure.
