Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The interview process with the firm is dependent on whether or not you go to a target school. I was lucky enough to be at a target school so the process was as follows. Started networking during the first semester of my sophomore year with alumni (we were provided a face sheet with people on the recruiting team to reach out to), and I was told during the process that these were considered the "first round" interviews. If you were able to get along with any of the first years well, you could potentially ask for a referal which I believe is very important in the process. After networking and applying (where you had to take some of aptitude/personality tests), I got an email from HR with a hirevue (which I do not believe gets sent out to all applicants), which consisted of 5-6 questions. These were mostly behavioral (why the company, something in the news I was interested in, strengths/weaknesses, anything I would like to add, etc.). After completing this, I got the superday invitation the next day for an interview in a week. The actual superday was 3 30 minute interviews (mine was with 2 directors and 1 ED). The 2 with the directors were mainly behavioral and resume focused, going into some technical based off of classes/bullets on my resume where as the one with the ED was fully technical and market focused (something i'm interested in, what was my thoughts on the market, walk me through DCF, 3 valuation methodologies, some mental math with multiples), but it was all doable. Once finished, I set out thank you emails and got responses from 2/3 people who interviewed me, and got a call from the third to congratulate me on the offer. Also ended up getting a call from one of the other interviewers. When HR sent the offer letter, I had a week and a half to accept.
