Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Occurred during school. No initial phone interview. I had back-to-back interviews with two current Bain consultants. One had just started with the company, having worked with TFA for the past 4-5 years and the other one entered Bain right out of college. It is extremely important to make a good impression right off the bat. While they are walking you to the interview room, you can't just walk alongside with them - you need to make small talk while walking, no matter how much you don't like doing it. They want to see that you're personable. I was told of this by a suitemate who did obtain an offer from Bain as well as BCG. It seems insignificant but you know what they say, first impressions count.
