Internship in Brokerage

The interview was almost entirely behavioral - actually to the point where it almost seemed like no knowledge of markets was actually required for the job. I did not anticipate this going into the interview and was caught off guard at first since I had come in with stocks ready to pitch and knowledge of what the markets were doing 30 seconds before the interview. Both the interviewers were first-year analysts. The campus interview round was an interview with 3 general behavioral questions that led to a lot of follow-up questions. The interviewers were clearly told to probe because what started as "tell me about a time your ethics were tested" led to a discussion of the definition of ethics and how context can affect them, for example. Overall, it was a pretty straightforward interview.
