Investment Banking Associate

Applied for job on Wells Fargo's career site. 2 weeks later, was contacted for a first round phone interview. Interview went well, and two weeks later was contacted to come in for a Superday. Superday consisted of 6 back-to-back one-on-one interviews with different members of the team (Associate, VP, Director, MD). Because I had a few years of investment banking experience and had been promoted to VP at my previous job, the interviews were very light on technicals, and focused more on fit and my previous deal experience. The team seemed very nice and down to earth. There were three other candidates besides me, and the offer ultimately went to a candidate without direct investment banking experience who was finishing up his MBA and would start with the rest of the new Associates in the Summer, as opposed to an off-cycle start date.
