Please describe the interview / hiring process.
At Wells Fargo, the investment banking summer analyst application deadline was not public information. I was speaking with a classmate who accepted a summer offer from the advanced process for the Women's leadership program that Wells Fargo runs. She told me that the application was only open for one day, on October 28, 2014. I marked it in my calendar, forgot about it, and then applied when my calendar notification went off. Three weeks later, I was contacted by two junior analysts, and we scheduled a first round phone interview for the advanced, non-core, investment banking summer analyst recruiting process. The phone interview went pretty well. I really connected with my interviewers. They were very nice, and very easy to get a long with. They asked me some basic accounting questions, like links on the 3 financial statements. They asked me how to value Google, and we had a pretty in-depth talk about MLP's and recent IPO's in the energy sector.

About two weeks later, I got an email from campus recruiting inviting me to the non-core advanced process Super Day, to be held in Charlotte, NC the following week. They flew me down, put about 150 interviewees up in the Westin, and held a dinner reception for us at a nice steakhouse on the 34th floor of a building. A little networking took place, and then every was seated for dinner. The following morning, we were grouped up and given a schedule for our Super Day interviews to be held at the convention center. Breakfast was provided. I had 7 interviews, each 30 mins long, back to back to back. The details of the interviews are blurry, but almost everyone asked me to walk them through a DCF, the links on the financial statements. One MD asked me to value a bottle of diet coke. Overall, medium-difficulty questions. Nothing out of the usual. Wells then provided transport back to the airport, flew us home, and covered all meal / taxi charges to and from the interview.
