General Interview Information
Interview Details
1) On campus info session (with follow-up networking)
2) Resume drop
3) On campus interview invitation (and they informed me that they were only doing one-round of interviews)
4) Networking event the night before the interview at a nice hotel with drinks in the penthouse room
5) A one-hour interview with an associate and a VP
The interview was mainly behavioral/fit questions with a lot about why Wells Fargo, why IBD, etc. They asked me to walk them through the DCF I did in my previous summer internship (which I listed on my resume). I also had to do a stock pitch which caught me off-guard for IBD but I had one that I made a couple weeks earlier so was okay on that.
I really appreciated the additional drinks event the night before the interview and that helped me get to know my interviewers before the interview.
I write this on every review, but my biggest advice is to start going to the info sessions as early as possible to try and build contacts that way. If it is for seniors, go anyway as a junior or sophomore (with the caveat that this might be school dependent; it wouldn't be weird at my school to do that but could piss off other candidates depending on the culture).
