What did the interview consist of?
Group Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
First round consisted of a 2 on 1 interview. I was asked basic technical and fit questions. Nothing too difficult. Mainly the basic "what are the 3 valuation methods" and "walk me through a DCF", etc. They also asked for my views on the current economic conditions.
Final round interviews were held on-campus the same day. It was suppose to be a 2 on 1 interview, but one of the interviewers had to leave early, so it was just a 1-on-1. I was invited to come to the final round, where I was asked only two questions, "why investment banking" and "would you accept an offer from Wells Fargo right now". The interview only lasted 10-15 minutes, and I left with high hopes of landing the offer.
Two days later, I was notified that I had not been selected.
