Business Analyst

I applied online to ZS Associates (a sales and marketing consultancy focused on biopharma) and received a reply about a month later. The first interview was just a screening with a recruiter and it consisted of typical behavioral questions. Moved on to a 2nd round Skype interview with a Senior Consultant that was behavioral and contained one case question. Received a reply about a week or so later inviting me to a final-round interview that consisted of multiple onsite interviews with Senior Consultants, Directors, and Partners at the office I was interviewing for.

The first 2 interviews were mainly behavioral and consisted of "Tell me about a time" questions as well as leadership questions. The final interview was a case question with a 2nd year Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst. The case interview is very easy. Given a written case and create a final/recommendation slide that summarizes the objective and the issues and your recommendations. Only skills needed are logic, basic math, and reading comprehension. Given 45 minutes to an hour to complete it. My biggest advice is to practice your mental computation and be very organized and logical in your thinking and recommendations. Don't give a scattered answer, even if it is correct. Budget your time accordingly.
