S& Deals Group

Does anyone have any information the Deals Strategy Group at S&.

Is the comp the same as the rest of PWC? What is the pay progression?

How does it compare to the rest of S&?

What are the exit opps like?

What are the hours like?

Any other information would be extremely useful!

Compensation is higher than pwc as per s& rates, which are in line with the strategy consulting market

Exit opps seem as good as the rest of s& as you still do a fair amount of non-deal strategy but it places better with PE (mostly mm, don't get your hopes too high)

Hours vary by office and project. On cdd hours can be intense, especially in high growth offices such as London; that are struggling to cope with the demand and projects may be understaffed at times (even now following the widespread slump during summer)

From what I know culture in London is fantastic, with a number of mbb partners and principals who joined not too long ago as well and a strong focus on wellbeing

Overall I hear it is a great place to work and very stimulating.

Source is a fried whin works there

I don't think FAANG is precluded to any tier 2 shop, just because its not mbb. Especially strong ones like ow and s& (the latter in some countries like Germany is often considered on par with mbb in some sectors). Also, from the outside, deals vs corporate means nothing.

It might not be top 3, but you are still talking about one of the top consulting firms in the world, and FAANG hires tons of people, just look at s& alumni on LinkedIn.

Once you are there what's is more important is that you get the right exposure to the projects aligned with your exit.

Finally, AFAIK s& has a very strong presence in tech
