Laid off from fund. Where to go from here?
My $1B fund told me last week that they are reducing headcount due to fund performance and yesterday was my last day. I am 2/7 analysts let go. They kept the sector heads and jr analysts.
I'm obviously disappointed but trying to find the next opportunity. Any advice on how I should I pitch myself in interviews?
In the same shoes as you man. Been honest with recruiters that layoff was not by any fault of my own but fund's performance, and feedback has been positive and understanding.
Sorry to hear that. I think your best bet is to be honest and have some good pitches. Will they be references?
