Lateral Pod Moves - Advice?

Hope everyone is getting some rest post-last week. I’m having a difficult time as I have done fairly well this year, but the pod I’m part of has gotten hit hard. Thinking about leaving as I continue to get pushback putting on (profitable in retrospect) positions and have to deal with drawdowns from other parts of the book. Not just an impulsive thought as I started to notice this towards the end of last year.

For those of you who have made successful lateral moves across pod shops - curious about:

  1. How did you communicate with recruiters? Don’t want to badmouth my current team as they did give me a shot and I grew in my current seat, but at this point it just feels like I’m being put on a tight leash and missing good trades. PM has even been openly hostile towards the team the last few days - maybe just a function of stress but not an environment I look forward to working in anymore.
  2. General tips / advice around navigating any move?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.
