Networking for a MM SA/FT role as a college student?

Targeting HF SA/FT from another buyside role (S&T / LO SA or reneg it) - what is the best way to network as a college student? Have a couple of pitches I have been sending, but haven't got much traction. Should I be emailing PMs vs juniors, sending them pitches asking for feedback vs asking to learn about their experiences, and should I be focusing on Linkedin over email? Seen a lot of varied thoughts on here, so would love to hear some MM analysts' thoughts. Cold email hit rate has been near 0.
