P72 academy instructors
Dumb question but are the instructors (P72's own PMs) at the Academy compensated for that work? Or do they just do it voluntarily.

Lol they get paid…how are they supposed to make a living otherwise? They’re not actually PMs or analysts anymore
Huh? So they relinquish their PM responsibilities and do the instructor work FT? No way right
Point72 doesn’t just ask their PMs to become coaches lol. Its usually analysts/PMs looking to make a change internally or externally that move to what is probably the highest paid teaching job out there
Lmao ok. Interesting
Im actually quite interested if anybody knows what former Analyst/PMs who move into these internal coaching roles or to BD teams make as comp. Obviously it doesnt compare to their investing comp but a general idea of where it may shake out for a mid level or senior employee with 5-10 years investing experience
Idk, on a pure risk-adjusted basis, could even be pretty promising right? Sticking it out consistently in a HF seat for years is risky af
