PM positions at Prop firms
The big prop firms (e.g. DRW, Maven, CitSec) are increasingly hiring PMs for mid frequency macro strategies. I have recently been approached by a recruiter for this. How do these roles compare to PM roles at the top multi manager platforms? From a quick linkedin search it looks to me like PMs tend to last longer at these prop firms. I suppose capital allocations may be smaller, as there are no external clients, but maybe payouts higher, so that the actual dollar amounts may be similar?
