ADVICE: SA IB in NYC >>> FT IB in London

Hi all,

I'll be working in NY this summer (or virtually - who knows) for a "mid-tier" BB as this forum likes to say. I am interested in going FT in London for personal reasons. I'm open to staying at the same BB and internally transferring (assuming I can get a FT offer) or recruiting FT for another BB/EB.

Does anyone have advice? How does the recruiting landscape in London work in comparison to NY? What are the timelines like? Is networking as important in London as it is in North America?

Thanks!
