Bank t2 Vs boutique t1 - director/ md

Hi,

I am currently a senior VP at a bank t2 (think Citi/BAML/Barclays) and I am interviewing for a top boutique.

On one hand, the bank has a b/s which should be helpful to build a client base, esp. on the sponsor side.

On the other hand, the boutique has the brand name and I quite like the idea of being a M&a advisor / trusted advisor only.

Which one would you pick when you think about becoming D or MD?

Thanks
