Going insane looking for housing - Places in London commutable to St. Pauls and Canary Wharf?
My eyes are bleeding after having spent probably 12 hours+ looking for apartments online that fit the following criteria:
1.) 2 Bedroom Flat in New Development/modern refurbishment
2.) Large enough bedrooms to have desks to WFH
3.) Commutable distance to St. Pauls (my bank is there) and Canary Wharf (their law firm is there
4.) 2000 pounds per month bills included
Can someone who knows London well just fucking tell me if the above criteria are literally some type of unprovable mathematical conjecture so I can finally stop looking? The absolute closest thing we can find is East Village in Stratford, but that leads to a 33 minute commute to St Pauls for me.
I will be working in one of the more 'sweaty' groups and am unsure whether a 33 minute commute is even survivable once WFH ends. Could someone shine some more light on this?
Should I just ditch this guy, commit myself to some random old flat in Shoreditch and live with random people I don't know?
Put me out of my misery fuck.
Yes. Go on SpareRoom and find a flat in an area that you like the look of, with a short-term contract. It’s very likely that you’ll want to move flats after 3-6 months, regardless of where you start, as you learn more about London.
