Hi, you don't have to worry about it right now, it will be much later. When I did my OC at MS LDN it was about 1 month before my start date

In my experience it was not THAT competitive since OC interns are not many, I got into one of the "top" teams without doing much, just networked when the time came. Yeah you will be given contacts to network with

Definitely. Just know that MS is very shady in recruiting / group allocation / timing of offers etc. Speaking from personal experience.
