There are no good "Master of Finance" programs in Canada. If you are referring to the Queens' one, that program has the reputation of CFA level 1 in a degree form. Rotman's MFin is part-time only so there is only so much recruitment in that program.

I have only seen Rotman's MBA get into MS at the masters level as a summer associate.

Ouch - not Indian myself but there is an indian guy on my team that started in India, and IB there is tiny for a much larger population - a BB has all in 20 bankers to cover india (if they have a coverage there, there is no EB) and as you know there's well over 1bn of folks over there.

Well tbh I don't think you're being rude :)
Like I said I won't be able to get into IIMs [the main ones) because of how they rank students. They take scores all the way from sophomore year to senior year, not only that I'm up against people who've been preparing for CAT (the entrance exam) for years]. With all due respect CAT is way tougher than GMAT, and personally I feel I can do better with GMAT. Also the concept of networking is extremely vague. The top banks (think GS, MS, JPM) come to the IIM for an on campus placement where most of the students get their shot.

No you are absolutely right. In fact they have introduced a PSW visa for 2 years although that doesn't count towards the PR. But all I'm hearing is they prefer European guys and girls. And if I do crack in, I heard most of the people leave IB after a few years or are "pushed out". So a problem arises as I don't wanna come back to India with 50k GBP debt, cause that'll be a nightmare. Please bare in mind I started learning about IB just about 6 months ago and please feel free to bust my myth or correct me at any point. I came across WSO just a week ago.
