How to contribute as an analyst?

I’m a new hire Analyst c.1 month into the job, but I don’t feel like I’m contributing enough. I always offer to help and do my bit but I’m mostly just doing presentations or sending emails etc. How do I contribute more and should I be worried that I’m not contributing enough(will I be cut for this) or is that normal?

In my experience, you will always be given small tasks at first for the simple reason that people don't trust your ability to deliver. When you do a good job with the small stuff and people start trusting you, they will give you more responsibility. Give it a couple of months and you'll see. However, someone will still need to do the simple boring stuff and that someone will always be an analyst. With that said, you will probably not get rid of the simple boring stuff but you will get more complex tasks added to your plate as well. Meanwhile, your workload will not increase that much since you will get quicker at doing things.
