JPM London

Has JPM London IBD ever hired from non-target schools in recent years (especially white males)? In terms of diversity hiring, are non-targets with previous IB experience at a disadvantage compared to oxbridge/HEC diversity with non-IB previous internships?

I'd suggest some LinkedIn search if you are looking for white/non-white males. Diversity itself is more tricky as it includes things you won't tell from the pic. Anyway, I am a non-target (or very low semi-target, still RG uni) grad and JPM doesn't have any alumni from my uni working in IB. If you are a white, straight male from a non-target.... well, I'm afraid the chances are really low

Your chances are near non-existent. I have many friends who work at JPM London, and there is a huge focus on diversity hiring at the firm. A non-target white male basically has 0 chance of making it through the HireVue process despite what HR might tell you. Last year, JPM focused on Oxbridge and European Master's students for SA positions. According to an associate friend of mine, there is apparently an SA at JPM who comes from a super low non-target uni; however, he is diversity.
