Had a wank in one of the showers once so they're alright I'd say
There is a gym. There are lockers in the gym changing rooms. There's also a sauna and showers. Don't know anything about "refurbished recently" but they're nice.
Gym isn't free. Access to lockers/showers comes from paying for gym or if you cycle in (I think).
