Re-recruiting after SA London
Am currently doing a summer internship at a decent but not great bank in London (pwp/laz/roths)
Go to a semi target (Durham/Bristol/Edi)
I want to re-recruit (even if it means doing another summer after I graduate). It seems like evercore is the most friendly bank (have seen some people for wf/nomura rerecruit and land offers)
Any thoughts/advice is welcome
Am in same boat
Short answer: you can.
Long answer: you can, but in some cases, it depends on the group you interned in. For me, at least, a lot of my conversations have been to do with the group I'm in because we have strong deal flow in our sector. Others across the floor, less so afaik.
Wow that was quick haha
I assume you have to renege if you get a return?
What kind of bank are you at and why are you re-recruiting?
Same as yours, mid-market.
I like the office: people are nice.
I just want greater flexibility in terms of the work I'm doing and the wider scope of companies in my vertical, hence the desire to lateral to another firm.
Conversations with who?
Get the return first then worry about it
Confident I will get the return - will keep working to do so.
Though some apps are opening up, so want to strategise and start applying (also considering a masters)
