SA vs FT Recruiting? (London)

Hi all,

Didn't land an SA role for this summer (was unaware of accelerated recruiting timelines), is it pointless to now apply for FT roles given market conditions and if so should I just apply for SA positions and do an LBS/LSE master's?

I would rather go straight into work but am concerned that people with SAs who didn't get returns (or those re-recruiting) will be far more competitive, and I'm confident if I got an SA role I could convert it - so potentially a 2026 start instead of never.

Looking to go into Rx ideally and thus especially concerned that Rx SAs will beat everyone else hands down.

1st Class Honours expected from non-Oxbridge target, CV looks reasonably good (imho)

Internship in DD/SS, some public market and early-stage investing experience + non-finance/less relevant work
