Worked in valuation for 8 months, now trying my luck with IB. If successful, will I recruit as A1?

Big 4 valuation analyst, trying to get into IB. I've gone through a couple of interviews at a BB and I'm optimistic about recruiting. I've been at my job for 8 months, covering O&G, mining, chemicals, tech, and financials. From what I could gauge through a connection who moved from b4 valuation to IB is that there's a chance I'll be recruited as analyst 2, if successful. He moved after 10 months, and was in fact analyst 2. What do you think?

This is in London btw.

Think you'll be joining as A1. I've seen a couple of cases like this in my bank. But i guess it depends on a lot of factors
