PE shops that pay for b school
How common is it for your firm to pay for your b school if you return after and can anyone give some names of firms that do this? Seems like from their perspective this isn’t a bad deal if they really want to retain you but the progression ladder is crowded - b school is cheaper than paying you 2 years of your salary, and it gives a little more time for people to leave and clear space for you.
Most of the MFs will pay for business school if they invite you back. I know for sure that Blackstone, TPG, and Warburg do. I've heard of a handful of MM firms doing so as well, but a lot of them will also expect you to pay for it even if you're invited to come back.
