Avoid and don’t believe the hype, she and her team just spend a ton of money on advertising on every MBA blog out there. The only people she works with are those who don’t actually need any help getting in but who are just lazy and don’t want to be bothered with their essays as much. But there’s no secret sauce. If you need help with writing and editing just hire an editor for a tiny fraction of what Stacy Blackman would charge.

For reference I spoke with not one but two of her consultants (under different names) who both told me not to apply to my top choice program as it would be a long shot BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE and pushed me to consider schools that weren’t even in the T15. The reason I reached out was because I needed help with crafting my unique story - I knew that there were some holes in my application but I needed help extracting my unique attributes because I truly believed I was still a strong candidate. This wasn’t me being hopeful; I’m pretty realistic about things to a fault. They didn’t even want to bother, which clearly indicated they only work with top candidates who realistically don’t need the extra help.

Fast track a year later, I got into my top choice school directly without being waitlisted and without utilizing their services.
