Too late to get a summer internship at a boutique IB?
I'm a first year and I'm trying to look for an unpaid internship at a boutique IB. I'm currently an intern at a search fund, but the internship will end before the summer. I was looking for summer opportunities earlier but I didn't search well enough and I ultimately didn't find anything. Do you guys think it will be possible to land something for this summer, even if it is later like in July or August? Sent out a few emails and I'm waiting for a response, so I'd appreciate if you guys could advise me. Thanks for the insight!
Probs too late man summer is literally a month away you screwed up trying for this so late. Boutiques have limited capacity so even if you offer to work for free there just might not be enough work to go around or people to train you.
I did my boutique role in the spring and most of my friends had secured theirs for the summer as I was working in early spring if I were u I would ask to remain at the search fund it looks good on ur resume to receive a return offer
I know people who got offers in June/July. You can still cold email firms around your area using axial.net and ask if there are opportunities for you. Gonna have to work for free tho. Good luck!
