Applied to wrong job, tell someone or just go with it?

Long story short, I chose Advisory - IT Risk Assurance instead of just Assurance/Audit. Dumb mistake, but I was doing all my applications in one day, and say the word "assurance" (which is what some of the big 4 call their audit positions) and figured it was what I wanted.

Would emailing someone about my mistake get me dinged? I just went on an office tour to the firm yesterday, and they will notify us through the career portal if we qualify for an interview tomorrow. I definitely should get an interview, as I kicked ass at the office tour.

Is Risk Assurance a good position at all? If it is on par with audit for exit opportunities, I wouldn't mind just interviewing for that position and seeing how it goes, but I really have no idea. What would you guys do in this situation?

Lol, risk assurance.

You're nothing more than a cost center for companies. You are going to hate your life regretting not trying harder and getting into a FO high finance role.

LOL. Sounds like Logan from Leveraged Sellout.

I'm on the verge of tears by the time I log onto Wall Street Oasis, since I'm positive that a user has thrown monkey shit at me. But they haven't, and relief washes over me in an awesome wave.
