Applying through On Campus Recruiting as an Experienced Hire?
I just graduated from a target school and will begin my consulting job in NYC next month. While I'm excited for my new job, I also know that I want to exit this role in 1-2 years time depending upon the opportunities available to me afterwards.
With that in mind, I was scrolling through my campus' Handshake career database the other day and came across a few roles I am very interested in. A few of them are PE analyst programs that begin in summer 2019 and I'm curious to know if these companies would entertain the thought of hiring someone with experience instead of a current college senior.
The reason I haven't emailed the recruiter to ask as of yet is also that I am worried what the optics are of applying for a new job before beginning my first. What do you guys think about this? Should I go ahead and apply? Will my current company freak out despite it being a summer 2019 start?
