Background check unique situation

I’m currently in the midst of a background check - I have a bit of a unique situation. My internal classification at my previous firm was different from my title - in the background check the internal classification is appearing. Will they accuse me of lying - the truth of the matter is that we just sat in a completely different city hence the different classification. The HR hasn’t reached out yet - what should I do and should I be worried about loosing the offer?

Sounds good. Additional question - what is the major stuff that they look for in a background check. Everything is super clean in my background - don’t even have a ticket.

You're fine - they're looking for criminal record, firings for cause, or academic dishonesty for the most part.

I come from down in the valley, where mister when you're young, they bring you up to do like your daddy done

They only double check the place of employment. In addition - if they ask you (very very unlikely) just give them a reasonable explanation and you should be fine. Good luck and congrats on your offer.

They are looking for crimes beyond speeding tickets or public intoxication type infractuations, or for people lying on their resume. They will check tax records to see that you worked at places you say you did. In some cases, they will contact universities to see that you graduated with major you say that you did. When I was an analyst they drug tested us, but i don't think they do that any more.
