Bullet Points on Cover Letter?
Interested to hear peoples thoughts on how to structure cover letters.
I have been advised to stick to the format of a formal letter. However even I struggle to make myself read blocks of text.
Including bullet points and sub-sections in the cover letter seems like a good idea to me.
Has anyone done this? Or is this too informal and should I stick to the standard cover letter format?

See in a world where 1. Cover letters mattered and 2. the finance realm wasn't unnecessarily bland and uncreative I'd say absolutely cause that makes sense and would be easier to read + save time. However, if you're applying to a larger firm I doubt anyone is really reading it and but if they do doing that could just show that you didn't want to write it. Also it should be 1 page so sub sections would be weird. My advice would be to just write one like an essay and make sure there are no mistakes. The cover letter won't get you the job but it sure as hell can lose you one if there's an error - that is if they even read it.
