Can anyone direct me to resources to learn about REITs? What they are, what they do, how they're started, etc.?
As the title asks, can anyone direct me to resources that give a good background and info on REITs? From any level, beginner to advanced, and any sort of media -- books, videos, articles, whatever. I do have a slightly basic understanding at the moment, but would love to learn more. Any help would be phenomenal.
This thesis from a 2016 grad of MIT's RE Master's program gives a solid explanation of the structure and function of REITs. Can't remember the specific pages but I found it to be informative.
Wall Street Prep has a solid course on REIT modeling. www.wallstreetprep.com
