Career Change - from sales to finance
Hi All,
Looking to make a career change, been going at it for a few months and believe I might be targeting the wrong roles or have a wrong approach.
I got into recruiting immediately after college, fast paced, competitive environment and good earning potential. Honing soft skills, my career thus far hasn't be a waste. I would like to move away from a sales focus role into operations or business analyst related role. Understanding I may take a hit on salary with an entry level role, but I need a challenging career with more learning and growth opportunities.
I received my MBA immediately after receiving my bachelors - I'm in a mid-twenties. I'm slowly learning SQL to gain some "hard skills". Continuously trying to work my network, but realizing getting away from sales and into a financial firm with no relevant work/previous internship experience is challenging.
Any comments or advice is greatly appreciated!
