Career Switch for Attorney
I'm an attorney with 13 years of transactional and litigation experience, 6 years of it managing a law firm, trying to switch careers to one in finance, ideally in a Family Office or PE firm. The door keeps getting slammed in my face saying "no experience", yet they hire kids right out of school with no experience whatsoever, either life or work. I've tried reaching out to the alumni office where I went to law school, but they have no clue what they are doing and can't/won't help, other than to say, "use linked in". Any advice? I'm burned out of practicing law.
