Consulting firms are the best and presently it reaches at the top most position in the market because it provides the best services in different fields. It is a firm of experts, professionals and more experienced consultants. They offer our best salary package on the basis of your qualification and knowledge. If you have more knowledge in any fields so you can get better salary from these.
Wow these salaries are pretty similar, at least for MBB Accenture Deloitte LEK. What's the pull for MBB then? Exit opps?
Prestige, perks, exit opps, project lineup, and the people. I'd also say quality of life (many internal resources to get work done), but I couldn't get a straight face since you're still working so much.
Many many people would take a pay cut to go from big4 to MBB.
Not as many as you would think. Last year at Kellogg of the 20 people who got a Deloitte offer, only 1 re-recruited. To do so, you're not giving up that much in the grand scheme of things (2nd year tuition reimbursement).
Project leader number for BCG of $165k looks a bit off. If a 1st year post MBA gets 147k base, that implies a compounded salary increase between year 1 and 2 and year 2 to 3 (promotion year) of around 12%. Am I missing something?
Also, does anyone have MBB numbers for post MBA in emerging markets (SEA and Africa)
Does it strike you as high or low?
147k is the new number, but 165 is the old number, that's why.
Old numbers (as of a few years ago) for BCG were 135k starting as a consultant, 165k as a project leader in a few years.
New numbers are 147k as a consultant, 182k as a project leader.
A thread was posted here when BCG announced the salary bumps about a year ago.
