Presentation Advice for Corp Dev/M&A Strategy

I've got to give a presentation to the Corporate Development team of a UK based company for a graduate role and I'm struggling with how I should go about it.

The presentation is meant to be on where they should focus their M&A strategy going forward, incorporating how it links to their current strategy and consider the benefits/risks associated with the strategy.

How would you approach this? What structure should I use? Do I give an overview of their industry before going into the finer details? Should I include the details of specific targets I'd recommend? The presentation is only meant to be 15 minutes so I'm cautious of focusing too much on potentially irrelevant matters.

Some advice on this would really be appreciated.

It seems like the analysis is pretty high level and surely quantitative. I think keeping a simple logical flow will be your best friend. First slide can be on their current strategy. Second slide can be on weighing the types of acquisition targets. What I mean by that is think about their operating model and figure out what areas could be optimized via inorganic growth. Two easy ways to do this is 1) acquiring competitors / smaller platforms (increases mkt share) or 2) depending on the operating model, looking to acquire companies that can facilitate greater operational efficiency (IE some tech company that helps you organize internal data or something). A good way to go about this sourcing part will be to look to see if they have publicized any recent transactions too. Of course, I would voice over the rational behind why you are selecting company x or company y. Your third slide could be the specific targets, or you combine the rational + targets on slide 2. Slide 3 can just be about risks and considerations for each of the strategies - maybe 1 table for each bucket of acquisition types (1 for competitors, 1 for those operational efficiency comps). Of course, each pro/con should then tie back to slide 1 where you introduce their strategy.
