What's your context? Your question is so broad as to be meaningless.
Corporate strategy does corporate strategy for firms. Similar to what say MBB consulting does, just focused on one firm.
The most common paths from corporate strategy are 1. move to other parts of the business and take up more leadership or operational roles and 2. stay in corporate strategy and move up.
I don’t know what context to place it in because I am unsure of what corporate strategy is... I guess in the context of Consulting?
I am more familiar with corporate development (M&A, transactions, divestitures) but I am not sure how it compares against the roles within corporate strategy, if that helps at all.
A lot of the times, companies will blend Corporate Strategy and Corporate Development roles to one team.
In terms of a pure corporate strategy role, they could be involved in tasks such as product launches, market sizing, competitive mapping, sales strategy improvements, etc. It depends a lot on the company and industry.
Corporate Strategy basically involves anything that helps the company grow.
