Do I just show up after getting a job?

I got an offer from a boutique, accepted it and called hr to confirm accepting it, all went well.

A couple of months passed, and I am about to start my job in 3 days. Should I email Hr to let them know that everything is going according to plan?

or do I just show up on the first day?

Thank you

Did they tell you what time? Typically they say come in at this time and bring these documents for your first day. You can just email and ask what time you should come in on your first day.

thanks for the quick reply Yeahright,

yea when I called them when I first got the offer, I asked what time do I show up, and they told me. There was no mention of documents to bring.

Then just show up 10 minutes prior to what time they told you. I'm sure you are nervous so just relax and go in when they said, no big deal.

You already set up a time to meet HR so no prob there. If you're in a FO role, you'll have to clear HR (i.e. fill out internal papers, fingerprinting, U-4 form, etc.) before starting work on your new desk. Everything sounds hunky dory...

They'll probably stick you on the Penski file the first day

lol, when I saw the title, I immediately thought of Costanza. +1

You remember when I said BlackHat agreeing with one of my posts was a rite of passage? This is step two.
